I went to Tire Barn in Muncie on a Sunday because I had a tire leaking pretty bad. I had just enough air to make it from my house to the shop. As soon as I walked in, all I heard was employees yelling back and forth. The guy at the front counter kept going into the bay and yelling at the guys working on cars. Then one of the employees would come up front trying to smooth things over. It honestly felt like total chaos. I understand it?s Sunday. I understand places can be short staffed. But if that?s the case, it might be better to just close for the day instead of running the place like that. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even get helped. I waited about two hours. They told me they couldn?t repair the tire, which is fine. I get it. But when he told me I?d have to replace all four tires, I could see on his face he assumed I?d say ?forget it? and go somewhere else. When I said go ahead and replace all four, he honestly seemed irritated that he had to do it. Look, I didn?t mind replacing them. They were getting old anyway, and I?d rather just handle it once and be done. But nobody should feel like they?re inconveniencing someone by giving them business. I hope management or the owners see this and really think about whether it makes sense to stay open with minimal staff if it creates that kind of environment. I was quoted $1,545.52 for tie rod, rear shocks hook and wheel alignment. After adding up the breakdown myself I only came up with $1,091 and some change..I chose to not let Tire Barn do the work, took my car to A-1 got the Tie rod and airshocks fixed for $365 and some change.... I will not return or recommend anyone else to go to Tire Barn for any work...SMH
